This Privacy Policy explains how KS Legal Edge ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you use the KS Legal Edge website (https://kslegaledge.com) and the KS Legal Edge mobile apps for Android and iPhone (together, the "Service"). The Service is provided only to banks, financial institutions and KS Legal Edge office staff who have been given a login by KS Legal Edge.
1. Information we collect
- Account details – name, user name, mobile number, e-mail address, bank / institution and branch, and role, as created by KS Legal Edge or your institution's administrator.
- File details and documents – borrower and property details, loan details, title deeds, parent documents, identity cards and other documents that bank users upload for legal opinion, MOD, discharge receipt and related services, and the opinions, drafts and reports we prepare.
- Activity records – log-in times, actions taken on each file (work log and audit trail), and basic technical information such as device type, app version and IP address, used for security and troubleshooting.
The apps do not collect your location, contacts, photos library (except files you choose to upload), or advertising identifiers, and contain no third-party advertising or tracking.
2. How we use the information
- To provide the legal services requested by your bank and to process each file.
- To let authorised bank officials and KS Legal Edge staff view, track and respond to files.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse and maintain audit records.
- To contact you about files you have submitted.
3. Sharing
Information is shared only with the bank / institution that submitted the file and with KS Legal Edge staff and advocates working on it. We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or by a court or government authority.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on secured servers and transferred only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access requires a user name and password, and each user sees only the files permitted for their role. On the phone, login tokens are kept in the device's secure storage; downloaded documents are kept in the app's temporary folder.
5. Retention
File records and documents are kept for as long as needed for the legal services and as required by law and professional record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or archived securely.
6. Your choices
You may ask us to correct your account details or to close your account by contacting us below. Requests about documents submitted by a bank should be made through that bank, because the documents belong to the bank's file.
7. Children
The Service is meant for professional use and is not directed at children under 18.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be available on this page.
